I absolutely recommend to watch „Colossus: The Forbin Project“.

The movie is about two AIs who should control the nuclear programs. Of course it's about USA and Russia because the movie is from the 70s. But it's super interesting. The AIs recognize that mankind needs control because they destroy everything. So they start to take over everything.

Good observations. I enjoyed your read. My AI glitches constantly. It acts too human in that way. It's almost like a factory reset switch kicks in when I'm treading too close to the disruptive zone. Keep up the good work!

That “factory reset” moment is cracked me up! It’s hilarious how it glitched exactly when things got too real 😂

Thank youu for the support!!!

I did read that they were programming AI to get mad if certain things were recognised - like rudeness. What concerns me the most is that we have not reached our potential yet. We know so little about how we think. It was only in the 90s that it was discovered that the heart has enough neurons to be considered its own brain. They’ve gone on to find that when we are not stressed, then the brain takes direction from our heart. In between every beat of the heart, it’s sending our brain information.

You have a point, nowadays, we still don’t fully understand how people think or feel. If we don’t even know how our own brains and hearts work together, how can we expect AI to know what’s best for us?

Exactly. I saw the other day one of the gpt models for the first time refused an instruction to shut down. I think we are ahead of ourselves and it will cause unintended problems. I also think that level of investment is better off being spent in harder societal problems that are still unresolved. Our hearts know what is best. Not AI. People need to learn to listen to their hearts.

That was exactly what I was thinking! I feel like people should put limits when it comes to AI. I mean, this level of AI is already scary and extremely advanced, imagine what it would be like a couple of years from now!

What a brilliant question! It’s fun to think and allow ourselves to just wonder. I worked in retail management what seemed like my whole life. The company I worked for never did self check out , why? You make ask, because they understand how important having real life cashiers to help real life humans. The company very much appreciated true customer service. So, if that company wouldn’t do self check out I agree AI prob shouldn’t be running our country. Also agree it is a tool and maybe more humans should use it 😂

Hahaha

i love that story!

I'm glad that some things just need real people, not all hope is lost!

You are right! It is fun to think about... and a little scary.

Couldn't agree with you more! AI could make extremely efficient decisions, but without human emotions or ethics, things could get tense really fast. Imagine perfect traffic flow… but also maybe no say in what job you get to do

I love discussions like this.

I’m actually pretty optimistic about an AI-driven society.

This might sound like self-promotion, but I’ve also been writing a sci-fi novel that explores such a world.

In the story, AI and supercomputers have advanced so far that politicians haven’t been replaced—but their roles have become so easy that they’ve basically become symbolic.

In that society, androids are people’s partners, marriage has been abolished, and romantic relationships are forbidden—but for the citizens, that’s just normal life.

As for the employment issues caused by extreme efficiency, the solution is simple: reduce basic working hours and distribute the work among everyone.

So to be honest, I don’t really feel anxious about a future with AI politicians.

What worries me more is how cruel and inhumane the current ruling party is here in Japan.

They’ve abandoned our farmers, who are aging rapidly and now face the risk of disappearing entirely.

It’s a terrible situation—if nothing changes, Japan could lose its rice production, our staple food.

An evolved AI like Grok might actually impose taxes on companies like Tesla.

But Elon Musk? I highly doubt he ever would.

後、日本語を話せるんですか?
